    Sir, the government has been hampering competition. There are 300 health insurance companies in this nation, and most people only have access to 2% because of laws preventing cross-state competition. Remove these laws, and the costs of insurance will come down.

    Fair enough. I have worked in for-profit hospitals and public health departments. I did my practicum (as a medical technologist) at a VA hospital. Based on my experience, I would trust government over private for-profit companies.
